Submissions are welcome from researchers worldwide. Manuscripts must be original and not previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
Editorial Policies
For authors whose manuscript has been submitted and accepted, they need to sign the Copyright License Agreement and the publication right of the paper will be transferred to Marine Research. Authors need to be fully responsible for the accountability of their papers; they must ensure that their papers have never been submitted to other journals, and is free of plagiarism and any copyright infringement complications.
Article publishing charge
Article publishing charge for open access: this journal does not charge review fees and publication fees.
This journal allows authors to publish their research via solicited or unsolicited (without Article Publishing Charge). To publish open access, a publication fee (article-processing charges, APC) is free for the authors.
Style and Formatting
- Language: Papers should be written in English. Either British or American style is accepted but should be consistent through out the whole manuscript.
- Units: The SI units should be used.
- Typescript: Electronic manuscripts should be prepared in single-spaced format with a font size of 10 points.
- Title and Author: Title of paper should be concise, informative and in capital letters. Author(s) and affiliation(s) should appear below the title.
- Abstract and Keywords: Abstract should not exceed 300 words; Number of Keywords should not exceed 5.
- Headings: Headings for sections should be centered and numbered with Roman numerals. Headings for subsections should start from the left-hand margin and numbered with Arabic numerals.
- Equations and Mathematical Formulas: All equations and mathematical formulas should be typewritten. Equations should be numbered serially on the right-hand side by Arabic numerals in parentheses.
- Figures and Tables: All figures and tables should be numbered and have descriptive captions.
- References: References should be listed in alphabetical order according to author(s), patentee(s), or editor(s). Complete citation should be given for each reference. If you are citing a work written in a non-Latin script (e.g., Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Russian), the reference must be transliterated into the English alphabet.
- References: Please follow the APA 7 style.
User rights
Marine Research is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of the articles, or use for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. Under the terms of the CC BY-NC-ND license, the uses are permitted only for non-commercial purposes; and, users must give appropriate credit to the author(s) (with a link to the formal publication through the relevant DOI), provide a link to the license, and not alter or modify the article.
